Save a Life Lab

My design was successful because I poked a hole through foam insulation and then put it through the man’s arms. I wrapped a rubber band so the foam insulation can stay. The first time my design was 1 cm below water. I added more foam insulation more to the head. The second time It was fully on his back and above water. The life jacket can change the man by taking away foam insulation then that will cause him to sink if you add more it will cause him to float and that will save his life.

Machines

There are 3 types of machines Ideal, Simple and Compound Machines. For Ideal Machines Work Input is equal to Work Output and for Simple Machines Work Input is greater than Work output. For Compound Machines they’re two things put together. An example of and Ideal machine would be like a pulley or lever. They equal each other like work input and output. An example of Simple Machine is a wedge or someone using an ax to cut a piece of wood. An example of Compound Machine is scissors because they’re two things put together, a lever and a wedge. To create a machine to hit the buzzer it takes all of these types of machine. You can use pieces of small wood, levers,balls. It was successful if it didn’t work I think we would have to add more things that would create force. A bicycle is another example of a simple machine back in the day in the 1700s bicycles weren’t invented so people had to walk until in 1817 German Baron Karl von Drais invented bicycles. Then cars came out in 1885/1886.
